I'm Vitaly Chait, a software engineer and applied AI researcher based in the Austin, Texas metropolitan area. My work connects systems engineering, data infrastructure, quantitative research, and AI evaluation.
A decade across software and semiconductors
My engineering background includes Linux drivers, FPGA diagnostics, data benchmarking, optical systems, and semiconductor equipment. I have worked across the United States, Israel, and China, including roles in Tel Aviv and Beijing.
Academic work in the Boston area
I am completing an MS in Business Analytics at Brandeis School of Business and Economics. I also serve as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant, supporting Generative AI Foundations for Business and conducting applied AI research.

Teaching, sailing, and Sundai
Outside my engineering roles, I have taught sailing, mathematics, and English. From 2025 to 2026, I participated in and volunteered with Sundai Club, including a weekend hackathon and the Sundai Anniversary event at Boston University.
